Organic farming in India is gaining popularity due to concerns about the effects of the green revolution. Key issues include lower yields during the transition to organic farming, improving soil fertility, incorporating livestock, obtaining certifications, addressing ecological concerns, marketing challenges, and the need for policy support. Despite these challenges, organic farming is seen as productive and sustainable. To further promote organic farming, subsidies, agricultural extension services, and research support are essential.
