A new model was developed to study how sediment moves in rivers and streams. The model looks at how the slope of the riverbed affects the movement of sediment. By including this slope factor, the model can better predict how the riverbed changes over time. This new model was tested against real-world data and showed promising results in predicting how mining pits evolve.
