Conilon coffee, also known as robusta coffee, has been gaining popularity in recent years compared to arabica coffee. The Kouillou variety is a common type of robusta coffee grown in Brazil, especially in Espirito Santo. In 2012-2013, about 40% of the world's coffee production came from robusta coffee, a significant increase from 25% in 1985.
