The goal of the project is to improve water and sanitation services in Kenya by managing environmental and social impacts during the construction of the Northern Collector Tunnel. Measures include appointing a manager for environmental and social issues, proper disposal of hazardous waste, using excavated material for backfilling, disposing of trash in approved locations, preventing fire incidents, covering construction materials during transportation, and supervising equipment handling.
