The study looked at how rice farming in Punjab, India changed from 1994 to 2016. They found that the growth of rice fields, production, and yield was higher in the first decade compared to the second. Sangrur district had the best growth in yield, while Muktsar had the highest growth in overall production. Rainfall and literacy rate helped increase the area of rice fields, while fertilizer use had mixed effects. Overall, rice farming in Punjab showed positive growth in area, production, yield, and irrigated land over the study period.
