Insecure Land Tenure Leaves Vulnerable Nepalis at High Risk of Eviction
Land tenure security in Nepal is crucial for economic, social, and political stability. A SWOT analysis was conducted to assess the current status, revealing that despite some efforts, insecurity still exists, especially for disadvantaged and displaced individuals. While progress has been made in registering land and protecting rights, more needs to be done to address the vulnerabilities of certain groups. Policy reforms and interventions are recommended to manage insecurity caused by political, legislative, and organizational factors.
