Heating Beech Wood Boosts Durability for Indoor and Outdoor Use
Heating beech wood at temperatures up to 200°C makes it suitable for stairs, floor tiles, and parquet. Higher temperatures decrease wood hardness significantly. Tangential hardness decreases less than radial hardness. Heating at 200°C results in a small decrease in hardness, while at 220°C, the decrease can be up to 20%.
