The study used a climate model to predict summer precipitation changes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from 2021 to 2050. Results show that in the future, summer rainfall will increase in the southeastern part and the Qilian Mountains, but decrease in the western region. The amount of rain during the day will decrease, while it will slightly increase at night, especially in the east. There will also be more intense rainfall events above 10mm/day in the east, potentially leading to more extreme precipitation in the future.
