Improved water and electricity infrastructure boosts economic growth in South Sumatera.
The article examines how water supply, electricity, and road infrastructure impact economic growth in South Sumatera. Using data from 2001 to 2013, the study shows that electricity and water supply infrastructure have a positive effect on per capita output in the province, as well as in the agriculture, manufacturing, and trade sectors. However, road infrastructure does not have a significant impact on economic growth. This supports the idea that infrastructure plays a crucial role in promoting growth, but certain local economic conditions can limit its effectiveness.
