The article studied how different risks in the South African public sector affect the performance of its supply chain. They surveyed 307 supply chain workers and found that factors like government policies, supply complexity, and skills availability impact the flexibility of the supply chain. This flexibility, in turn, influences the overall performance of the public supply chain. By managing these risk factors effectively, government managers can improve the management of the public supply chain.
