The study analyzed the efficiency of Korean department stores using data from 2012 to 2016. They looked at factors like number of employees, assets, and expenses to see how well the stores were operating. The results showed that efficiency decreased over time, but one model performed better than the other in terms of technical efficiency. However, the other model was more efficient in terms of pure technology. Overall, productivity increased in both models from 2012 to 2016.
