Iron mine wastes in Minnesota are difficult for plants to grow in. The Mineland Reclamation Division used different techniques to plant trees and shrubs on these sites. They found that using containerized seedlings is a good option for hard-to-plant areas. These findings can help with reclamation efforts in Minnesota and other iron mine sites.
