The article discusses a new way to design station structures by combining civil engineering and construction techniques. This hybrid structure is being used in stations built on separate viaducts with two planes and two tracks. The researchers outline the concept, structural characteristics, and benefits of this new approach compared to traditional methods. Examples from ongoing projects on the Kyushu Shinkansen and Tsukuba Express are provided to illustrate the application of this innovative design.
