Sowing cotton seeds in late April leads to higher yields and better quality fiber in Inner Mongolia's desert area. Planting on April 30th resulted in the highest cotton production, with the most efficient use of nutrients. Delaying sowing dates can affect plant growth and nutrient absorption, impacting overall yield and fiber quality. Planting too early or too late can decrease cotton yield and fiber quality. The study suggests that late April is the best time to sow cotton in this region for optimal results.
