Climate change in China shifts temperature zones, impacting regions and agriculture.
The researchers studied how the climate in China changed from 1981 to 2010. They divided China into different regions based on temperature, aridity, and climate sub-regions. They found that due to climate warming, some temperature zones in eastern China shifted northward. In North China, Northeast China, and Northwest China, the boundary between semi-arid and sub-humid regions moved eastward and southward. Overall, many arid regions in Hexi Corridor, Xinjiang, and the Tibetan Plateau became more humid during this period.
