Chickpea Yields Soar with Biofertilizers and Phosphorus, Boosting Food Security for Millions.
The study looked at how using biofertilizers and different levels of phosphorus affected soil quality, yield, and nodulation in chickpeas. They tested nine treatments with different combinations of biofertilizers and phosphorus levels. The results showed that higher phosphorus levels and using biofertilizers increased yield, dry matter accumulation, nodule number, and nutrient availability. The best results were seen with 60 kg of phosphorus per hectare and the use of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) biofertilizer.
