The article presents a new method for detecting edges in digital images using a combination of Canny, mathematical morphological, and Sobel operators. The researchers found that this method outperformed other existing edge detection techniques like Sobel, Prewitt, Roberts, Laplacian of Gaussian, Canny, and mathematical morphological operators in accurately identifying edges in both grayscale and color images.
