New MPPT algorithm boosts efficiency of solar panels in micro-grid systems!
A new control algorithm called the new hill climbing method was developed for maximizing the power output of solar panels in micro-grid systems. The researchers compared this new method with the popular P&O algorithm using MATLAB simulations and found that the new algorithm performed better. The goal was to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic power systems by optimizing the power transferred to the load using a boost converter as the MPPT circuit.
