Two types of plum, Pioneer and Celebration, were studied in Egypt to see how well they grew in the local climate. Pioneer had more buds and flowers, matured earlier, and produced more fruit than Celebration. Pioneer also had better fruit quality, except for firmness. Overall, Pioneer plum trees showed better growth, higher yield, and better fruit quality compared to Celebration in the Egyptian conditions.
