Egyptian Clover Varieties Boost Forage Yields, Offer Stability for Farmers
The researchers studied five varieties of Egyptian clover to see which ones produced the most fresh and dry forage. They planted the clover at different times and locations to compare yields. They found that the Helaly variety gave the highest yields overall, especially when planted early. This variety was also the most stable in its production. The researchers suggest that Helaly and Gemmiza 1 are good choices for breeding programs.
