Rebalancing ageing policies to prioritize well-being and personal growth in EU
The current active ageing policy in the EU and the UK focuses mainly on productivity, which may overlook the personal values and experiences of older adults. To address this, the article suggests balancing productivity with personal values in three ways: recognizing the importance of activities that are meaningful to older adults, involving them in policy decisions, and acknowledging the significance of finding meaning in life for their well-being.
