Air pollution in Coimbatore, India is a big problem due to activities like burning fossil fuels and emissions from vehicles. A project was done to study air pollution in the North Coimbatore region. The goal was to create models using GIS to predict air pollutant levels. They collected data on PM2.5 levels and used it to predict pollution levels at different locations. The study found that Koundampalayam and Thudiyalur are the most polluted areas in the region.
