Wounded Warriors Transition Faster with Age and Streamlined Disability Process
The goal of the project was to figure out what factors can predict a wounded soldier's successful transition from a Warrior Transition Unit. The researchers looked at data from 237 soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. They found that a soldier's age and the time it takes for their Physical Disability Assessment are important in determining how long they stay in the unit. These findings can help the unit predict when a soldier will be ready to transition out, and can be used to make better policies in the future.
