New Summer Squash Hybrids Promise Higher Yields and Better Quality!
Scientists studied different squash hybrids to find the best combinations for higher yield and early growth. They used five squash varieties in crosses to create 20 new hybrids. The results showed that one parent, P5, was the best for vegetative traits and yield. Interspecific hybrids involving P4 also performed well. The study found that genetic factors played a significant role in the traits of the hybrids, with some combinations showing better performance than others.
