The article observed 35 common perennials in Beijing over three years to better understand their flowering times. By dividing the flowering period into ten-day intervals, the researchers recorded the plants' appearance before, during, and after flowering. They aimed to extend the flowering time of 13 perennials, and found that 10 of them were able to bloom twice.
