New Plate Roller Leveling Technique Reduces Residual Stress and Improves Product Quality.
The article analyzes how bending affects plate roller leveling to improve product quality. By studying the relationship between bending and intermesh, researchers found that negative bending reduces residual curvature and stress, while positive bending can control stress in different directions. The amount of entrance intermesh must be considered when applying bending to minimize residual effects. Positive bending should be used under small intermesh to reduce curvature, but also under small intermesh to counteract negative effects on stress. Bending increases leveling force, impacting plastic deformation ratios. Negative bending increases plastic deformation, while positive bending eliminates sections with zero deformation.
