Optimal Fertilization Ratio Boosts Potato Yield and Photosynthesis in Qaidam Region
The researchers studied how different amounts of N, P, and K fertilizers affect potato growth and photosynthesis in Qaidam Region. They found that increasing N, P, and K fertilization initially boosts tuber yield, chlorophyll content, and leaf photosynthetic rate. However, once optimal levels are reached, further fertilization does not increase these factors. The best fertilizer combination for high potato yield is N: 239.2 kg/hm2, P2O5: 240.0 kg/hm2, and K2O: 119.6 kg/hm2. For maximum chlorophyll content and leaf photosynthetic rate, the ideal combination is N: 239.2 kg/hm2, P2O5: 191.3 kg/hm2, and K2O: 119.6 kg/hm2.
