Soil fertility evaluation revolutionizes Panax notoginseng cultivation techniques.
The researchers evaluated soil fertility in Panax notoginseng planting areas to help improve cultivation and fertilization. They analyzed soil samples from Yunnan and Guangxi provinces using various methods. Results showed that soil organic matter levels were generally high, while some nutrients were lower. Most nutrient levels were medium to high, with some variability. The soil fertility was classified into five grades, with the majority falling into high or medium categories. Overall, the soil fertility in the main planting area was between high and medium levels.
