The researchers studied how the landscape pattern changes in Tangjiahe Nature Reserve from northwest to southeast. They used GIS technology and remote sensing images to analyze the vegetation. The results show that woodlands cover most of the area, with mixed forests being the most common type. As you move from northwest to southeast, some landscape indices increase, some decrease, and some stay the same. Different types of forests dominate different areas, with certain indices peaking along the transect.
