New Rice Varieties Boost Crop Yields by Over 20%! 🌾🌟
Researchers conducted an experiment in 2001 to study different types of rice panicles and their yield potential. They found that rice varieties with erect or semi-erect panicles can produce higher yields compared to common panicle types. Specifically, the erect and semi-erect panicle rice varieties showed a yield advantage of 18.2% to 22.7% over common panicle rice, with potential yields ranging from 11,775 to 12,050 kg per hectare. This suggests that cultivating rice with erect or semi-erect panicles could lead to higher yields in rice production.
