Green Infrastructures Transforming Cities for Climate Change Resilience and Sustainability.
Cities are getting more polluted due to urban development, causing issues like bad air quality and Urban Heat Island effect. Urban planners are facing challenges in adapting cities to climate change. Green infrastructures in cities can help with this by expanding green spaces. Studies show that green infrastructures benefit cities by mitigating climate change and making them more sustainable. A new method was proposed to evaluate how people feel about urban green areas in Catania. This method combines participatory planning and social evaluation to help the city government develop a more resilient urban environment.
