The study looked at how different types of fertilizers affect the growth of young oil palm plants. They tested seven types of fertilizers, including organic and micro fertilizers, alongside basic and compound fertilizers. The results showed that using compound or single fertilizers with micro fertilizers led to taller plants and wider midribs. The best stem growth was seen with a specific type of compound fertilizer, while chlorophyll levels were highest with a different type of micro fertilizer. Overall, combining inorganic and organic fertilizers with micro nutrients can significantly improve the growth and health of immature oil palm plants.
