New farming practices in India boost wheat yield and nutrient uptake.
The study looked at different ways of farming wheat after maize in Haryana, India. They tested three tillage methods and four weed control methods to see how they affected wheat growth. The best results came from using furrow irrigated raised bed system and letting the weeds grow naturally. These methods led to higher wheat yields compared to other farming techniques. So, using these specific tillage and weed management practices can help farmers grow more wheat after maize in this region.
