Forest line key factor in shaping species diversity in Chinese meadows
Plant diversity in a subalpine meadow on Heyeping peak was studied to understand how different factors affect biodiversity. Researchers set up plots and analyzed various diversity indices to see how species are distributed and related to each other. They found that the forest line was a key factor influencing species diversity, with different plant communities affected by habitat conditions. The study showed that niche conservativism and habitat filtration play important roles in shaping the plant community on Heyeping peak.
