The study looked at how dividends relate to the quality of a company's earnings in India. They analyzed data from 107 companies over 12 years. The researchers found that paying dividends, changing dividends, and consistent dividend payments can tell us about the quality of a company's earnings. However, the size of the dividend doesn't seem to have a big impact on earnings quality.
