The article compares soil types in the Polish Soil Classification with those in bonitation maps for arable land and grasslands. The goal was to see how well the two systems match up. By looking at the soil profiles and genetic criteria, the researchers found that despite new soil units in the latest classification, it's still possible to align the two systems without major changes. This means that modern soil science knowledge can be incorporated without disrupting the existing soil-valuation table.
