Norway's Extensive Trade Deals Reshape Global Commerce, Impacting Consumers Worldwide
Norway has made a big effort to negotiate free trade agreements (FTAs) with many countries outside the EU. They now have agreements with 41 countries, which covers about 10% of their trade. These agreements help remove taxes on a lot of products and also include rules for other trade areas. As time goes on, these agreements get more detailed and include a wider range of trade rules. This could lead to more trade happening beyond just cutting taxes. However, some of these extra rules are things Norway already does in other deals or at home, so it might not make a big new impact.
