China's construction industry is not using energy efficiently, leading to environmental problems. A study looked at energy efficiency in different provinces using a special analysis method. Most provinces are not using energy well, especially in less developed areas. The size of construction projects is managed well, but the technology used is not up to date. Moving energy between regions is done better than using different types of energy within a region. The industry needs better tools for clean production. The study suggests ways for the government and businesses to improve energy efficiency in construction.
