Turkey's industrial energy efficiency improved, reducing dependency and environmental impact, according to new LMDI analysis.
The article looks at ways to use energy more efficiently in Turkey over the years 2003-2017. They used a method called Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index to study energy use in farming, industry, and services, and to see how different policies affected energy efficiency. By breaking down changes in the amount of energy used, they found that better energy efficiency is crucial for reducing dependency on energy, competing globally, and protecting the environment. The study also reveals which parts of the economy use a lot of energy, helping to figure out where improvements can make a big impact.
