Acoustic waves are used to estimate fish stocks in Indonesian waters. A split beam echo sounder system is employed, consisting of a display and a transceiver. The system can predict fish stock sizes quickly and accurately in real-time, contributing valuable data for fisheries management. The transducer is divided into four quadrants and factors like fish size, anatomy, and behavior can affect the accuracy of the data collected.
