Land consolidation on customary lands can help reduce land fragmentation, but it's been challenging due to traditional land systems. A new approach was developed that combines traditional and modern land administration methods, a unique land valuation approach, and a land reallocation strategy tailored to rural farmlands. This approach successfully decreases land fragmentation, both physically and in terms of land ownership, but local customs can still hinder the process.
