Recognition of Intangible Assets Boosts Stock Value for Indonesian Firms
The study looked at how recognizing intangible assets impacts the value of companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. They analyzed financial data from manufacturing companies between 2014-2017 and found that net earnings, goodwill, and other intangible assets significantly affect stock prices. Earnings have a positive relationship with stock prices, and the value relevance of goodwill and identifiable intangible assets has increased over time.
