New sewage treatment plant in Nagore to combat disease-causing obnoxious smells.
The goal of the study was to design a sewage treatment plant for Nagore to handle the increasing population and sewage generation. The researchers focused on creating a plant that would treat sewage to prevent disease and reuse water to reduce fresh water demand. They estimated 5 million liters of sewage generated daily in Nagore. The plant components include screening, grit chamber, sedimentation tank, biological reactor, clarifier, sludge tank, and drying beds.
