Tropical Museums Harness Daylighting to Boost Energy Efficiency and Preserve Artifacts
The article examines how to make museums in South-West Nigeria more energy efficient by using natural daylight effectively. The researchers looked at different daylighting features in museums and found that using domes, clerestory windows, atriums, light tubes, and anti-solar glass can help optimize energy efficiency. They also created a model for designing museums in tropical climates that focuses on maximizing daylight while protecting artifacts from direct sunlight.
