Accelerated life testing is used to estimate the lifespan of products with long lifespans by testing them at higher stress levels. This article introduces a new method to estimate the lifetime at design stress using a simple graphical approach. The researchers found that maximum likelihood estimates for constant-stress and step-stress accelerated life tests under progressive censorings can be determined with this method.
