Accelerated life testing is used to estimate the lifespan of products with long lifespans by testing them at higher stress levels. This article introduces a new method to estimate the lifetime at design stress using a graphical approach. The method also proves the existence and uniqueness of maximum likelihood estimates for constant-stress and step-stress accelerated life tests under progressive censorings.
