New Study Reveals Water Needs of Paddy Plants in Swampy Land
The study aimed to figure out how much water paddy plants need in swampy land. They measured water requirements at different stages of growth and found that the plants need more water during the middle of the growing season. The research used an experimental method and presented the data in tables and graphs. The results showed that the plants needed 1.05 mm/day of water at the beginning, 4.64 mm/day during development, 11.20 mm/day in the middle, and 18.72 mm/day towards the end. Evapotranspiration values were highest during the mid-season, with plant coefficients ranging from 0.42 to 1.01.
