The Wynyard Walk tunnel in Sydney CBD was monitored for settlement during construction. The tunnel was supported using canopy tubes, spiling bars, and steel sets. Settlement ahead of the tunnel face ranged from 25% to 40% of total settlement, with a volume loss of 0.25% to 0.35%. Installing canopy tubes caused an additional volume loss of 0.12%.
