Math Education Students Favor Descriptive Stats Over Inferential Analysis
The study looked at how students in a Mathematics Education program at Ronggolawe University used statistics in their thesis research. They found that most students used descriptive statistics to analyze and interpret data, with only a small number using inferential, parametric, or non-parametric statistics. Specifically, 81 students used descriptive statistics, 4 used inferential statistics, 16 used parametric statistics, and 5 used non-parametric statistics.
