New water plants discovered in Magadan, expanding local biodiversity.
The article discusses new findings of water plants in Magadan Region, Russia. Several species like Potamogeton X nericius, P. X nitens, and Utricularia stygia are reported for the first time in the region. Myriophyllum ussuriense is also identified for the first time in Magadan Region. The study also reveals new information about 10 rare plant species in the area, including Ceratophyllum demersum and Sagittaria natans. Lemna minor, Potamogeton friesii, and P. pectinatus are confirmed to grow in Magadan Region. Critical notes are made about the genera Batrachium and Myriophyllum, as well as the species Callitriche subanceps.
