Field spectroscopy and satellite remote sensing were used to detect underground military structures in Cyprus. By analyzing vegetation using different Vegetation Indices, researchers found that NDVI, SR, and EVI are effective in identifying underground infrastructures. The study focused on two areas with barley vegetation, one with an underground military structure and one without, showing the potential of Vegetation Indices for this purpose.
